Improvement

Everyone needs to improve at some point.

We should never be content at where we are and what we have done.

There is always room for improvement.

I heard said once that it matters not where you have been in the past, but everything matters about where you are headed.

I think that is true.

Everyone makes mistakes in life.

No one is immune.

But we all need to get better and do better.

So, I ask you dear reader – where are you headed?

What are you improving on?

How are things getting better for you?

What actions are you taking to improve you life?

Do you have goals, direction or a plan?

We are half way through the year as I write this.

Many people over-estimate what they can do in a year and under-estimate what they can do in 5 years.

The time will go by anyway, you might as well make the changes you want.

Now.

Positivity

You feel positive about yourself to the degree to which you feel you are in control of your own life.

– Brian Tracy

Are you in control of your life?

What are you not able to control?

It’s my understanding that Booker T. Washington once said “Nothing External To Me Can Have Any Power Over Me.”

I believe that is true.

If you can allow all other things in your life to simply pass by you — like water off a duck’s back — and continue forward to your goal, you will achieve that goal.

I know that you can do it.

I know that anyone can do it – myself included.

The real question is: are you willing to pay the price to achieve it.

So, I ask again, are you in control of your life?

What decisions are you making and who is making decisions for you?

You decide.

Pushed Around

When you refuse to be pushed or coerced into saying or doing something, you feel much more in control of yourself and your life. – Brian Tracy

How are you today?

Feel alight?

What do you do when someone tries to force you to do something?

For me, I hate camping.

Never liked it.

Didn’t like it as a kid, don’t like it now.

I’ll never enjoy it.

Why? I don’t know.

I just don’t like it.

So what should I do when someone asks me to go camping?

I tell them, “no thank you, I’m not interested” – and I end the conversation.

Why?

Because I don’t like it. I don’t enjoy it. It’s not my thing.

But what happens when they try to force it on me? I disengage. I leave. I say no and I move on.

You should do the same.

Don’t let other people force you to do what you don’t want to do.

Now, what about working?

Sometimes I love work.

Sometimes I hate work.

Does that mean that I shouldn’t force myself to work?

No.

Absolutely not.

I should force myself to do it.

It is the best thing for me and by me.

But I don’t force others to work.

If they don’t want to – they should move on.

I’m not interested in forcing others to do what they don’t want to do.

But if you want to eat and have a house – you’ll need to work because without money – you won’t make it. Best to force yourself to work, yes? Yes.

If you have the desire to change, the decisiveness to take action, the determination to persist on your forward track, and the discipline to make yourself do whatever you need to do, your self-confidence and your success are inevitable.

– Brian Tracy

Do you desire to change?

What do you want to change in your life.

Don’t make the list too long.

Just pick out 1 think and work on that.

You can get it done.

And when it’s done, the next thing will appear.

Go ahead, take action and be decisive!
