Time Blocking

Blocking Out Time So You Can Focus and Get “stuff” Done Is Essential To Success.

It’s true.

If you want to get something done you must take the following steps:

1. Turn off the TV, radio or anything that could distract you.

2. Turn off your phone.

3. Put your office phone on DND (do not disturb).

4. Close your door. (if necessary, put a note on your door to not knock or disturb you – aka “go away!”

5. Close out of all applications you’re not using.

6. Then get to work.

This process has always worked for me.

I believe it will work for you.

Give it a try and see what happens.

Self Confidence

Self-confidence is the hinge upon which turns the gate of individual achievement.

That quote is from Brian Tracy. Brian has had many good thoughts which have benefited me throughout the years.

My question to you is how do you increase self confidence?

What can you do not to increase your self confidence?

I’ve got an idea.

I think if you have something that needs to get done, take action and get it done. Put in the time and the effort right now and you will increase your self confidence. In fact, I’m willing to be that if you take that action toward what it is that you want, you will increase your confidence like nothing else.

We all think.

We all have different thoughts.

We all have dreams and desires.

But only a few of us actually take action to achieve them.

Be one of the few.

Take action.

Relentless action.

And you will achieve what it is you set out to do.

Conversion Code

Jeremy Eveland is known for having a quote or 2 to share. I really like this one:

“Winners get there early, they work late, they work through their lunch hour, they work through their coffee breaks, they work in the evenings, they study on the weekends, they take extra courses. Winners are absolutely determined to win, and they are willing to pay the price.” – Brian Tracy

There is an absolute truth set forth in this quote.

It is simple – it is this: If you want to win, you simply need to pay the price to win, and you will.

There isn’t anything that you can’t overcome if you are willing to put the time in to be successful.

Successful people are successful because they live their life in a successful way.

There isn’t an excuse that you come up with that can stop you if you are committed to succeed.

I know you can do.

So, what are you waiting for?

Take action now!

Here’s to a New Year of success!

Emotional Intelligence

Daniel Goldman has done research on emotional intelligence.

We can control our emotions.

There are 4 things:

1. how to know your emotions.
2. how to calibrate yourself.
3. how to calibrate other people’s emotions.
4. how to control other people’s emotions.

We think we can’t control our emotions. This simply isn’t true. We can.

We just never learn how to control our emotions.

I don’t know of any school where they teach this.

We need to learn how to control our emotions.

This can be one of the most important things we learn about in life.

This helps you have a better understanding of what is going on in the world. When you do this, you can make better decisions. You can learn to focus and accomplish what it is your want. Your mind and emotions can be used to assist you in this.

Achievement

Every great human achievement is preceded by extended periods of dedicated, concentrated effort.

– Brian Tracy

Do you want to achieve something great?

What are you doing with your life?

Do you want to be successful?

How do you define success?

What are you going to do about it?

Are you willing to go outside your comfort zone to create your ideal life?

Are you willing to accept the feedback from the world and adjust accordingly?

What do you need to do to make the changes necessary in your life to accomplish what it is your desire?

Should you have goals?

What are your goals?

When is the best time to make your goals?

When is the best time to work on your goals?

Do you have a plan?

What is your plan?

Are you ready to implement your plan?

How will it feel to take action now?

Are you ready?

Good, then get to work!

‘Twas the Night Before Christmas 2016

Well, actually, it is the Wednesday before Christmas here.

Snow is falling…

Everywhere.

Times are going well.

How are you?

Nothing new to report, just work and rest for the holiday season.

Merry Christmas to you!
