If you are like me, you are planning on celebrating Thanksgiving this year. My wife cooks with her mother and makes a big turkey. It always tastes great. There is stuffing (which is just okay), mashed potatoes, corn, and other good things to eat. I always eat too much.
Do you eat too much too on Thanksgiving?
One tradition we have is to go around the table and state something that we are thankful for.
This year, I am thankful for my health.
You see, I’ve been sick the last few days and there is nothing worse than being sick. I hope to be back to good health soon.
So I didn’t make a blog post in October. It was a busy month. Got a lot done. After much consideration, I’ve decided to turn this blog over to a syndicate. This means future posts will not be from me on this blog. I’ll notify you if there are any other blog posts from me. For now, they will not be from me. Just an FYI. Future posts are from others. Call me if you ever need me. Best –
Many individuals fight with the decision to submit to bankruptcy. Typically this is since they have mistaken beliefs about bankruptcy generally.
Basically, bankruptcy is a lawful method to level the having fun area between an individual debtor and financial institutions. It is a legal proceeding that offers the debtor with a fresh start.
Both kinds of bankruptcy that are most typically offered for a person are: Chapter 7 and also Chapter 13.
Chapter 7, or straight bankruptcy, is just what lots of people generally take bankruptcy. In Chapter 7 bankruptcy, a debtor’s non-exempt possessions are sold off or offered as well as the proceeds are made use of to pay towards unsecured financial obligations (charge card, loans, medical costs, and so on). In the frustrating majority of instances, however, individuals do not shed any type of property which indicates unsecured creditors obtain nothing. At the end of the bankruptcy, roughly 3-4 months after filing, the financial debts are released and also the financial institution can never ever collect on the financial obligation.
Chapter 13 is a financial debt reorganization or consolidation bankruptcy. If a person has a routine month-to-month earnings, their debts (mortgage arrears, vehicle payments, charge card, medical costs, loans, trainee financings, etc.) are rolled right into one reduced regular monthly payment. Due to the fact that the debtor is paying back his creditors with this repayment strategy, the debtor does not run the risk of shedding any type of properties as he might under Chapter 7 bankruptcy. While in the repayment strategy, typically 3-5 years, financial institutions are stopped from consulting with the debtor without very first going via the debtor’s attorney and the court.
Countless individuals declared bankruptcy last year alone to obtain the fresh start they required. As opposed to exactly what several think, bankruptcy does not permanently harm your credit rating, and you will certainly still have the ability to have credit rating.

A marital relationship must terminate through the court system. There are various methods to finish a marital relationship either briefly or completely, such as a legal separation, an annulment, or a divorce. There are some distinctions; however, the procedure for ending a marital relationship is comparable.
Can I get an annulment as well as a divorce?
Splitting up is called different things in Utah; however, if it is to be done permanently – so you can get married again, you have to get divorced or an annulment. If you just get a legal separation, then you continue to be lawfully wed, yet plan to live independently from each other.
Considering that you are no longer cohabiting, you might ask the court to get in an order of guardianship if you have children to outline visitation (or parent time), child support, home division, separating financial debts and repayment, and also various other issues.
Question: In Utah, Can one attorney do a divorce for both me and also my partner?
Answer: No. There is constantly a problem in a divorce case about who represents who — and in divorce, only one lawyer can represent one party. He or she can’t represent both.
I was asked who was the best trial attorney in Utah.
Good question right?
I mean, there are several that are good, but you’re looking for the best?
Even good attorneys can be great IF (and I stress the if) — they take their time to know all of the details about a case.
Think about it for a minute.
Let’s pretend that you are the lawyer. Let’s say that you are going to put on a trial. How would you go about doing that to make sure that you present all of the evidence in a light most favorable to your client? How would you do that?
If you think as I do, you’ll see that you have to take TIME to do that.
You can’t just show up and wing it. If you don’t properly prepare for it, you’ll do a cruddy job. Even if you know that case from start to finish because you’ve been working on the case from the very beginning — you and I both know that preparation is key. If you don’t prepare, you as an attorney doing a trial will be less effective than you would if you had prepared, right?
Right.
So, you’re looking for the best trial lawyer in Utah.
The first thing you’re going to need is an attorney that is going to take the time to prepare to the Nth degree.
Think about that.
Let it sink in.
The best trial attorney in the State of Utah is going to have to spend time, no… not just TIME, but A LOT OF TIME preparing to do the best job on your case.
What does that mean?
It means that the best trial lawyer is going to be charging you a lot of money to spend a lot of time on your case.
You wanted the best right?
Only the best?
What’s that going to cost you?
If you want the best, you realize that you’re going to have to pay for the best right?
I mean, you don’t really expect the best trial attorney in Utah to go into battle not knowing the enemy in and out, backwards and forwards do you?
You wouldn’t expect the best trial attorney in Utah to not prepare and do the best job he or she could possible do right?
Good.
Then everyone is on the same page.

4 years ago my friend had his prostate removed and he just recently discovered that the cancer was back. So in August 2016, he will begin radiation treatment for 6-8 weeks.
There is mystery in how to find court information. Lawyers both criminal and civil need to be able to lookup and access court information. In Utah, that information in the state court system is found at the Utah Court Website. In the Xchange service that the court offers, you can access court information. There is a subscription fee and if you want to file documents electronically, you have to registered with a third-party provider in order to do so. The reason is because the Court does not currently do that — they have opted to allow third-party vendors handle the couris or Xchange interface for electronic filing.
Watch is short video that explains how it works:
At the time of this blog post, only the state District Courts in Utah have electronic filing, not the justice courts. I have heard, however, that the Administrative Office of the Courts is working on resolving this.
